9. Billing and plans
Admin only, at Settings → Billing & plan (/settings?panel=billing).
The billing panel is authoritative. Plans are configuration and can be adjusted, so any figures here are illustrative — always check the panel for your organization's actual terms.
If you manage several companies, billing and usage are separate for each one. Check the company name in the sidebar before changing a plan or reviewing usage.
What a plan controls
| Documents per month | How many documents you can receive per billing period |
| Overflow price | Per-document rate past the allowance, if your plan has one |
| Linked chats | How many Telegram chats you can connect |
| Direct API access | Whether you can push entries over the API and sync master data live |
Current public plans
| Plan | Monthly price | Included documents | Extra documents | Channels | API push |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | Free | 10/month | Not available | 1 | Included |
| Starter | RM 49 | 300/month | RM 0.70/document | 10 | Included |
| Growth | RM 199 | 2,000/month | RM 0.40/document | 50 | Included |
| Pro | RM 399 | 10,000/month | RM 0.30/document | 100 | Included |
Every plan includes API push. Free stops accepting documents after its monthly allowance; paid plans continue at their listed per-document rate.
How usage is counted
Documents received during your billing period. On a paid subscription that period runs from your billing date, not from the 1st of the month. The usage meter on the panel shows the period and the count.
Failed documents don't count. Neither do documents support has confirmed as invalid — those are credited back.
What happens at the limit
- A plan with an overflow price keeps processing and bills the extra per document on your next invoice.
- A plan without one, including Free, stops accepting new documents until the period resets or you upgrade. Telegram senders receive a limit message.
Subscribing
Pick a plan and subscribe. You're taken to HitPay's hosted payment page to enter card details. Card payments only.
Your plan changes when the payment confirms, not when you submit the form. If entitlements haven't updated immediately after paying, give it a moment and refresh before contacting support.
Switching plans
- Upgrades take effect immediately.
- Downgrades and same-price switches take effect at the end of your current paid period — you keep what you paid for.
No refunds, no proration.
Cancelling
Cancelling stops the next charge. You keep your plan until the end of the period already paid for; the banner shows the date. After that the organization reads as Free.
Nothing is deleted. Documents, master data, and settings all stay. Resubscribe any time from the same panel.
The failure mode worth knowing about
If renewal stops going through, your organization reverts to the free allowance after a short grace period of a few days, which absorbs a payment that clears late. Entitlements are worked out fresh on each request, so a lapsed subscription simply stops applying — nothing has to run at midnight for it to take effect.
For a manually invoiced plan, active admins receive one renewal reminder during the seven days before the period ends. The email links to Settings → Billing & plan, where you can set up automatic card renewal. Card subscriptions renew through HitPay, so beres does not send this separate reminder.
If the plan does expire, you'll see a warning banner on every page naming the plan that ended and when. The Billing panel shows the same warning above the plan list.
Other symptoms: a quota message arriving weeks earlier than expected, or API push refusing with "Direct API push is not available on your current plan."
If you rely on API push, check this panel when your card is replaced or expires.
Billing history
The panel lists past charges and your payment method. Use it to check what was billed and when, including overflow charges.
