1. Create your account
Sets up your login and your organization. Do this once, as the person who will administer beres.
- Go to https://doc.getberes.app/sign-up.
- Enter your name, email, and a password of at least 8 characters. If a Continue with Google button is shown, you can use that instead.
- Submit.
Verify your email
If you signed up with email and password, you cannot sign in until you verify your email. Open the verification email and click the link.
Nothing arrived? Check spam, then use the Resend verification email option on the sign-in page. Signing up with Google skips this step entirely.
Create your organization
After your first sign-in you land on Create your organization. Enter your company name and continue.
Your organization is the container for everything else — documents, master data, linked chats, plan, and team members. One organization per set of books. If you keep books for several companies, create one organization per company.
The person who completes this first setup is the master admin. After entering the app, use Organisation in the sidebar to create and manage companies.
Managing more than one company
A master admin can manage several companies with one login. Use one organization per company or set of books: each keeps its own documents, master data, accounting connection, Telegram links, settings, staff, plan, usage, and billing.
Switch company
- Open the company switcher at the top of the sidebar. It shows the current company.
- Select the company you want. If you manage 10 or more, use the search box.
- Check the company name before reviewing documents or changing settings.
Switching changes the active workspace. It never combines, copies, or moves company data.
Create or rename a company
To create one, select New organisation in the company switcher, enter its name, and select Create. You can also create it from Organisation in the sidebar.
The new company starts empty. Switch to it and complete its export target, accounting connection, master data, Telegram, team, and billing setup. Every master admin receives access automatically.
To rename a company, open Organisation, select Rename beside it, enter the new name, and save. Renaming does not change or move its data.
What you see next
You land on Home (/dashboard) with a checklist titled Finish setting up your organization:
- Choose where exports go
- Import or sync master data
- Connect a channel
A guided tour also starts automatically and walks you through the same steps in the real screens. You can dismiss it and come back to it later.
Work through the checklist in order — the next three pages of this guide follow it exactly.
Joining an existing organization instead
If an admin invited you, click the link in your invitation email. If you are already signed in with the same email address the invite was sent to, you join immediately. Otherwise you sign in or sign up first and then return to the invitation. Do not create a new organization — that would give you a separate, empty one.
Next: Choose your export target.
